Amouda Castle

Description

Formerly in the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia, now in the Turkish Province of Osmaniye. This Castle was deeded by the Armenian King Leo I (confusingly, also called Leo II, and sometimes Levon I/II) to the Teutonic Knights in 1212, and was subsequently rebuilt in the 13th century.
